Depressed or Stressed?
These two debilitating conditions have many overlapping symptoms, but there are some key differences.
Depression and Women
A recent NHS report found anxiety
and depression have risen by 20% among women in the 40-plus age group within the past 15 years.
AntiDepressants

Antidepressants work by increasing the levels of chemicals called neurotransmitters in the brain. Neurotransmitter are 'messenger chemicals' that are used to transmit signals between brain cells. They are also thought to have an important effect on your mood.
Stress Reactions
In any stressful or challenging situation, the sympathetic nervous system
stimulates the action of our organs and releases stimulant hormones such
as adrenalin and cortisol into the bloodstream. This action is completely
reflex and automatic, the body is simply preparing for action.
